Tulsa agility training is far more than just simply running around some cones. Running around cones is what most agility programs are going to have you or your athletes do. Agility comes down to far more than just cone drills. Cone drills do play a part in agility training however they should not be the core component of agility training. When you break down agility skills and techniques, you need to break it down into all of its component parts. In order to be able to stop on a dime and change direction you to have enough strength and power through your body to be able to do so.

This strength and power needs to start in the tendons and ligaments of your body then go into the musculature of your body. Furthermore, once you have the strength in your tendons, ligaments, and muscles you need to be able to transfer that strength all the way from the ground clear up to the rest of your body. Imagine for a second if your body from your shoulders down to your knees was made of Jell-O. The rest of your body was made of what it is made of which is muscle and bone. Now imagine running full speed and coming to a stop and changing direction. What do you imagine what happened to that middle section of your body as soon as you stop?

This is what happens to many athletes when they do not utilize proper training techniques to make sure that their entire body is strong and working as one unit. They are just like the example of the Jell-O filled the body. Nothing is in their control, and they do not have the correct power or total body strength to be able to move as rapidly as they should be able to move as an elite athlete. Therefore, agility training does not start with cones. Agility training starts with strength training. It is only after proper strength training that cone drills even make sense. For without the proper strength in the body, cone drills are not helping increase agility.

Once you have the proper strength in your tendons, ligaments, and musculature throughout your entire body, then you can start working on proper starting and stopping mechanics. Too many people do not understand the correct mechanics that it takes to properly decelerate and accelerate.

Tulsa agility training by coach JC and his staff at Dynamic Sports Development builds a solid foundation before ever worrying about random drills working on random techniques. Random drills working on random techniques does nothing to help to ensure that your child is as agile as possible, as fast as possible, and as injury resilient as possible. To be able to ensure that your child achieves his optimal potential when it comes to Tulsa agility training an athlete’s performance you have to make sure that they are building from the ground up. Building for ground-up means making sure that the body is powerful from the inside out. To learn more call Dynamic Sports Development at 918-409-2373.

One of the ways that Coach JC and his staff at Dynamic Sports Development will build your athletes body from the inside out is they will focus on developing core strength. They will focus on ensuring that the body is able to withstand and transfer enormous forces from the ground up. In order to do this they must have an extremely strong core musculature that works as one unit with the rest of the body. If the body is not working as one unit and if it is not able to maintain tension than all the agility training in the world won’t do anything for the athletic skill of your child.

Agility training comes down to first and foremost being strong. You have to be strong enough to be able to withstand the deceleration forces of your body and the resulting acceleration forces of your body out of the deceleration phase. The stronger you are, the higher the amount of force that you can withstand and the faster you can get out of the deceleration phase. Strength is more than just muscle strength. Strength is also tendon strength. Strength is also ligament strength. Strength is also bone strength. You want to have an extremely strong and dense makeup to be able to be as fast as agile as possible.

Once the body is working as one unit, then the speed work and agility work can begin. The Tulsa agility program at Dynamic Sports Development synergistically works all of the components into a single program. They will work on strength, agility, speed, deceleration, acceleration. They are dedicated to ensuring that every athlete that trains with them gets everything they possibly can out of their potential.

Their potential, of course, includes far more than just athletic success. Athletic success, of course, is a big portion of it, but they also want to ensure that their athletes are ready to win in life. This means they want to help these athletes understand what it takes to be successful in life. How hard you have to work to be successful. That setting goal is important to accomplishing and having a successful life. To helping these kids understand that their comfort zone is only their comfort zone and not their limiting factor. Understand that they can see and grow past their current comfort zone.
